This one was for my cousin Courtney’s work shower.  We work for the same company, so her department enlisted me.

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?

This was my mom’s 50th birthday cake.  It was my second cake, and is a total copy of another artist’s work.  But, you know what they say about imitation being the sincerest form of flattery and all.

Don’t judge me!

Happy 16th, Krissy!

Three years later, I did a cake for her 19th.

Getting better.

This is one of my favorites.  It was for a friend’s shower, at work.

As much as I loved the end result, this cake was not my friend!

Getting the hat to stay up, at an angle, was perhaps the hardest thing I’ve done so far.

An Irish birthday cake for my roommate’s dad.  Happy Birthday, Paul!

This is a revision of the faerie cake.  There’s also a Tree Frog version in the background.  This was made for the Whitman Champagne, Cake, and Art Event in 2010.

These are two of my favorites:

Both were for actor’s birthdays.

One of my favorite people in the world, a student who has been studying voice with me since he was 11, graduated high school.  We learned early on that we share a love of Zelda.  He liked a cake like this that I sent him a picture of, so I recreated it for him.  It was SO much fun to make!

Happy Birthday, Keryn!

This cake wasn’t actually for a shower; it was for my dad’s and my mom’s cousin’s 60th birthday.  The babies freak me out a little.

Another early…uh…masterpiece.
